Maria Amalia Sierra de Wood is passionate about art and compassionate for the poor. After being raised in Honduras, her heart became burdened with the need to help those in impoverished conditions. She graduated with honors in 2006 from Judson University with a B.A. in General Art and with a minor in Visual Communications. She was on the 2006 Judson University Juried Student Exhibition and was awarded first place. She has collaborated with the Outside Exhibition Group in the execution of murals for the city of Elgin. Currently, Maria Amalia works as a Production Manager and Designer at a manufacturing company in Wheaton, IL and at the same time volunteers her artistic skills to help the poor through partnerships with non profit organizations.
